Sturia Origin is the boldest caviar in the Sturia range, matured longest for a deep, classic flavor that recalls the wild caviar of the past. Farm-raised in Aquitaine, France and delivered cold across Metro Denver. Choose a 15g or 30g tin.
Sturia Origin is made for people who love a strong, traditional caviar. It is matured for more than eight months in Sturia's maturing rooms, which builds the most flavor in the range. It comes from Baerii (Siberian) sturgeon born and raised on Sturia's own farms in Aquitaine, France, with no antibiotics, no added hormones and no GMOs.
The tender pearls burst in the mouth and release the assertive, mature taste of old-style caviar, with a long, leisurely finish. Sturia describes notes of raw wood, pepper and delicate seaweed, with a clear iodine character. This is the caviar for connoisseurs and for anyone who wants real depth of flavor.
Because Origin is so full of flavor, it is best served simply. Taste it on its own from a mother-of-pearl or plastic spoon, or on plain blinis or warm baby potatoes with a touch of creme fraiche. Its strength also stands up well in hot or cold dishes, adding an iodine note to the plate. Avoid metal spoons, which can change the flavor.
Caviar is perishable, so 5280Gourmet delivers Sturia Origin cold and fresh across Metro Denver. Refrigerate the tin as soon as it arrives, keep it between 32 and 39 degrees Fahrenheit, never freeze it, and enjoy opened caviar within two to three days. Check the date on your tin.
